Objective of UP Skill Development Mission
The main goal of the UP Skill Development Mission is to empower the youth of Uttar Pradesh with essential employment-oriented skills. Many young people complete their education but still face unemployment due to a lack of practical skills. This scheme bridges that gap by offering training programs in over 650 job roles like healthcare, IT, retail, electrical, beauty & wellness, and more.
The mission not only provides training but also offers job placement or self-employment support after the course. It focuses on youth from poor backgrounds, especially women, minorities, and differently-abled candidates, ensuring inclusive development and reducing unemployment in the state.
